I attempted to capture the sense of stillness and quiet that happens only just before dawn in the Icelandic wilderness. The island nation is known for its windy climate which can make it challenging to capture an image like this one that requires a lot of trial and error with the lighting and composition.  The photograph’s depth and scope also show off the immense nature of the mountain range connected to Estrahorn. Often lost in the clouds and rain, the eastern Fiordland is able to show off its immense size in this image.
