Description
Pastel Daydreams is an example of what a perfect sunrise looks like in the American West. Cotton Candy skies over Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. I captured this image right before the sun crested the horizon on a hot July day during my American West tour. I got up and traveled to Bryce hours before the sun was up knowing that there would be a large group of photographers all vying for the best location to capture the iconic sunrise here.
As the canyon lit up from the sunrise, I set a long exposure on my shutter speed, making sure I managed to get as much of the natural soft light as I could. The clouds wisping above the iconic hoodoos that make the canyon famous offsetting the cool tones of the early morning sky.
