Life in the Andes

Description

Life in the Andes captures the rugged nature of the Cordillera Blanca mountain range in South America. These jagged, snow-covered peaks burst from the ground, matching the color palate of the menacing clouds above. These barren lands between the sea and the mountains are very sparsely populated, leaving the wide-open grasses to dominate the foreground of the image. I remember framing up these unnamed peaks and loving the color contrast between the warm yellow tones of the grassland versus the deep blue cold tones of the glaciers, mountains, and sky above.
