Valley of Giants

Description

Valley of Giants is one of my favorite recent images I’ve captured. The light, contrast, and massive scale of scenery hits everything I love about landscape photography. This valley is the northern end of the Isle of Skye, a member of the inner Hebrides of Scotland. The amount of greenery on Skye is truly incredible. Everything seems so lush yet so barren at the same time. High winds and heavy storms often attack the island keeping many trees from growing very tall. The rain does keep everything well watered, to say the least so the vibrant colors of Skye are here every season but winter.
